Community Social Responsibility
Education
Education is the backbone of development in a country and Woodtex aims to support educational initiatives to improve the educational standards. In this area, we provide school bursary to students.
Community/Society
Woodtex is committed in providing financial and non-financial resources to the local community.
At Woodtex Kenya limited we have charity programs that seek to help the community,
This includes: visiting children homes, visiting the sick, sponsoring and participating in Events donating food to the needy and visiting the Elderly
Woodtex includes our staff in decisions about CSR activities where ideas are considered for:
- Support for charities that are chosen by staff.
- Encouraging staff to volunteer for community activities.
- Coming up with a budget for food and non -food items that are needed.
Environment
Our Environmental CSR programme aims to reduce the impact on the planet’s ecosystem and increase its environmental sustainability. WOODTEX’ Standard Environmental CSR activities include: recycling our waste and participate in tree planting activities across the different counties in Kenya.
